This work is made out of moulding paste, watered-down paint, and matte medium photo collage. It was created after many years of grief and became a canvas on which I could process that grief physically. Creating this work about my own grief meant creating something that was incorporeal and physical at the same time. Without the thin paint, there would be only be moulding paste sticking pushing out to you. Without the moulding paste, there would only be works made of thin paint. The layers work together to create a complicated emotion revisited over and over again.
