This work was done using acrylic paint pens. I originally painted the canvas black and had friends and family use it as a cathartic outlet. They would speak, whisper, scream etc. at it. Those who participated seemed to have a certain draw to the painting, unlike others. It was intended to visualize the idea that connection is built on emotional expression.
